Regal Automobile (DFSK) is all set to introduce its very first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Seres 3, to the Pakistani market in mid-October 2023.
According to an official announcement, the Seres 3 will initially be offered as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model, priced at Rs. 11.8 million. To reserve your Seres 3, a booking deposit of Rs. 5,000,000 will be required, with an estimated delivery time of 90 days. With a robust 49.34 kWh battery, this electric vehicle boasts an impressive range of over 400 kilometers on a single charge.
DFSK has ambitious plans to locally assemble the Seres 3 in Pakistan, which will bring down the price to Rs. 9.6 million. Customers will have the option to book the locally assembled version for just Rs. 3 million, with deliveries expected to commence tentatively in March 2024. The locally assembled Seres 3 will share the same powerful powertrain as the CBU variant.
In the Pakistani market, the DFSK Seres 3 will face competition primarily from the MG ZS EV, as it currently does not have any direct competitors. This fully electric vehicle promises a commendable performance with its electric motor generating 160 horsepower and 300 Newton-meters of torque.
Moreover, the Seres 3 boasts an array of advanced features, including various driver-assistance systems such as lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking, ensuring both safety and convenience.
However, it’s worth noting that with a price tag exceeding Rs. 1 crore, the Seres 3 is positioned to cater to a niche segment of car buyers who prioritize eco-friendliness and cutting-edge technology in their vehicles. If you’re among this select group, the Seres 3 could be your ideal choice for a sustainable and advanced driving experience.
